“Importance of Women’s Health”
Women Development Cell
A Health Awareness Programme on “Importance of Women’s Health”was organized on 30.09.2022. The resource person was Dr.R. Jeyaranjitha, B.S.M.S, Resident Medical Officer, Nandha Siddha Medical College and Hospital, Perundurai. The resource person detailed the importance of taking breakfast which normally students skip. She further explained the factors like unhealthy food complications, Malnutrition, lack of physical activity and self remedial measures in Siddha to overcome general health issues. She briefed the ways to protect oneself from skin problems.This awareness programme was really useful and enlightening to the students and faculty members. The chiefguest asked the students to get medical assistance by approaching Nandha Siddha Medical College and Hospital personally whenever they need. The students got their doubts clarified during the queries session.

TED
NANDHA TED TALK SEASON – I is being organized for the first year students in order to hone their oratorical skills. The students were motivated to take part in the competition. Students from various departments enrolled their names. Topics pertaining to the recent trends were given for their preliminary round. Students are short listed under three categories namely, Preliminary, Intermediate and Final. Around 100 students have participated in the Preliminary and 29 students were selected based on their performance for the Intermediate round. Among the 29, 10 students were shortlisted for the final round. In the final round, the students will compete with their peers in topics related to social issues, current affairs and technological advancements. The three best performers selected from the final will be declared as the NANDHA TED TALK SEASON – I title winners.
